Lumbini defeat Janakpur by 16 runs

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 5: Lumbini Lions defeated Janakpur Bolts by 16 runs in the match played today under the Nepal Premier League (NPL) at the TU International Cricket Stadium, Kirtipur. Janakpur scored only 133 runs in the stipulated 20 over losing eight wickets while chasing a target of 150 runs set by Lumbini. Lumbini Lions had set a target of 150 runs for Janakpur Bolts to win today's first match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

In the ongoing season, Lumbini has stood unbeaten so far in four matches it has played, winning three matches and sharing score in a match which did not take place due to rains. In its first match, Lumbini defeated Sudurpaschim Royals. The second match to be played with Chitwan Rhinos was canceled due to rains and the score was divided between the two clubs. In its third match, Lumbini had defeated Pokhara Avengers, scoring seven points in total and placing itself as a top scorer so far.

Janakpur has so far played five games with today's match. It has won two games and lost three. It has scored so far four points.
