Police warn against exploding firecrackers during Tihar

Kathmandu, Nov 6: The Nepal Police have requested the general public not to explode firecrackers and carry out fireworks during Tihar, as doing so can cause serious accidents. The police have urged this because the use of explosives can cause fires, injuries to people leading to disabilities, damage to homes and property, and environmental pollution.

The police are asking parents to not give fireworks and inflammable materials to children, keep them away from such items, and adopt special supervision and alertness. Central police spokesperson Abinarayan Kafle informed that police are being deployed during the festival period to maintain peace, security, and harmony, and to prevent any kind of untoward incidents.
