Argentina: Thousands protest private property legislation

Thousands took to the streets outside Argentina’s Senate on Thursday to protest a controversial private property bill, with demonstrations ending in scuffles, tear gas and rubber bullets.

Javier Milei’s government has removed the most contentious part of the legislation, which would have raised limits on foreign land ownership, but that has failed to quell the anger.
