First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Iran Ali Nikzad on Wednesday attributed Republican losses in the US midterm elections to Washington's war with Iran, telling lawmakers that American efforts to pressure Tehran had failed.
Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress in Tuesday's midterm elections.
