In 2018, the Global Gift Foundation, the charity championed by actor and activist Eva Longoria, began supporting the Quang Chau Orphanage in Vietnam, where resources were described as virtually non-existent. Today, the rebuilt residence, renamed Casa Ángeles Quang Chau Vietnam, cares for more than 100 children, including many with special needs, providing food, clothing, medical care, education and a safe home, as per the Global Gift Foundation.
The foundation’s November 5 Global Gift Gala in Paris was designed to raise funds for that work and for Casa Ángeles, its specialised therapy centre in Marbella, Spain. The Paris event, held at the Four Seasons George V, was chaired by Global Gift Foundation founder María Bravo, with Eva Longoria serving as honorary chair. It brought together dinner, performances and a live auction, continuing the foundation’s model of using high-profile fundraising events to support vulnerable children, women and families around the world.
