There is a strong connection between Indian dance and textiles.

American photographer Briana Blasko explored this interplay through stunning images in her book Dance of the Weaves.

During the years she spent documenting costumes, she researched how fabrics acquire new expressions on the dancers’ body, assuming a unique flow and fall through the movements of different dance forms.
