No financial transaction in dispute over Party's legitimacy: NC President Thapa

Lalitpur, Nov 5: President of Nepali Congress, Gagan Kumar Thapa, has clarified that neither he nor the party engaged in any financial transaction or improper conduct concerning the dispute over the party's legitimacy. In an audio message shared on social media today, President Thapa called for an impartial investigation into the recently surfaced audio recording linked to middleman Inam Sapkota.

Noting that the party’s position on the issue of legitimacy had already been articulated by Senior Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma during a press conference at the central office on Wednesday, Thapa dismissed the incident as a malicious rumor. He further stated that both the party and its leadership are prepared to cooperate with any form of investigation.

Asserting that no financial dealings took place during the political and legal battle over the party's legitimacy, President Thapa emphasized that there was not a single penny involved in any improper financial transaction.
