At the Adikumbeshwarar Temple in Kumbakonam, a rare Nagaswaram carved from stone was played after many years during the recent kumbabishekam on November 28. Unlike the traditional wooden Nagaswaram, this timiri-type instrument has six holes and demands immense breath control.
