Speculations that President Donald Trump would fire Susie Wiles have been doing the rounds long before the embarrassing midterm loss that the Republicans suffered. Politico reported that Trump was ringing up his allies to explore some options to replace Wiles. At that time, Trump dismissed the reports and said he had no intention of replacing his longest-serving chief of staff.
But as heads started to roll with the first exit of Harmeet K. Dhillon, the assistant attorney general, Susie Wiles was not far away. On Friday, she announced her exit and Trump elevated Stephen Miller from the deputy post to the chief of staff position."Today is my last day as White House Chief of Staff," Wiles announced."Serving President Trump in the White House has been the honor of a lifetime.
I’m so proud to have been a part of what we’ve accomplished together from securing our border and cutting taxes to strengthening our economy and putting America First.""More than anything, I’m grateful for the extraordinary people I’ve had the privilege of working alongside.
