Cochin, November 3: Mr. K.S. Nilakantan Unni, Mahopadhyaya brings to the notice of the public through the columns of the “Malayala Manorama” that there is an interesting image of Buddha in Pallikkal in the Mavelikkara Taluk in central Travancore. It is a stone image exactly similar in appearance to that of the well-known Karumandi Kuttan with which people who have travelled along the backwater route between Alleppey and Quilon, are very familiar.
The image is worshipped by the villagers who believe that it is a deity presiding over their destinies. Comments have to be in English, and in full sentences. They cannot be abusive or personal. Please abide by our community guidelines for posting your comments.
