France bans unsolicited telemarketing calls to protect consumers

France has banned unsolicited telemarketing calls under a new law to protect consumers and shield vulnerable people from fraudulent commercial practices. Individuals who make illegal calls can be fined up to €75,000 per call once the new law comes into effect on August 11.
