Ajay Babu Siwakoti Kathmandu, November 5 The Nepal Police Cyber Bureau has directed Nepali Congress General Secretary Ajay Babu Siwakoti to appear before it over a post he made on social media. Siwakoti said he learnt about the instruction through a message sent to a close friend, as he had been away on a religious trip to India and was not carrying his phone. “I had gone to India on a religious trip for a few days.
I have now reached Ilam. Since I did not have my phone with me, the police apparently sent a message to a close friend asking them to have me appear before the bureau,” Siwakoti told Onlinekhabar. “They may be trying to intimidate me.
I am not afraid of those in power.” He said he had received information that journalist Roshan Khadka had filed a complaint against him. Siwakoti said he would decide how to proceed once he returned to Kathmandu, depending on how the matter develops. Meanwhile, party president Gagan Kumar Thapa has called a meeting of Nepali Congress office-bearers for today.
